It’s not an exaggeration to say that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives. Having to wear masks, quarantine, social distance – these are concepts and words that many of us couldn’t even fathom hearing about, let alone being forced to do, a year ago. The progression of the virus was slow – and prolific.
Once an NBA player (Rudy Gobert) tested positive the NBA was forced to officially shut down on March 11, 2020 just over a month before the epic NBA Playoffs were due to begin) and it took almost 5 months to resume. The season resumed seeding games on July 30th. The whole league has changed the way they operate and many players were not able to attend and play, due to the circumstances.
There were no live crowds to cheer for their favorite players. We’re lucky to even be able to see it on TV at this point. To say life without sports is dull would be an understatement. You never realize how fun they are to watch until they’re off the air.
